Custom Designed Commercial Car Wrap Hall Imports in Brookfield, Wisconsin
Our latest project for Hall Imports, located in Brookfield Wisconsin started with the design. They knew that they wanted something that really stood out. Maybe a design that made the car look like it had been in a crash. We took it from there. Our designer jumped at the chance to create a custom wrap using different source photos to create the image they were looking for.
When we started this project, we started by determining the best color combinations. We needed something that would give good contrast to the photos but still work with the native color of the car. We settled on a soft blue. This color also worked with the color of the dealership's logo. The photos we used show serious damage to a car door and ripped metal. Our designer overlayed the photos and worked on correcting the color and contrast so the photos really stood out. The picture of the torn and wrinkled car door had to go through a few alterations as it didn't fit well behind the customers name and logo. But by moving and copying the picture, changing it to a grey scale, and increasing the contrast, the damage really shows well. When we moved to the windows, we decided to make the windows look like they had been shattered. This actually took a great deal more time that anticipated because the available stock photos had to be copied to cover the windows. We had to make sure that the design didn't repeat and that the edges all lined up. After all, it had to look like shattered glass.
We printed the wrap on Avery Dennison's new 1105RS EZ with air release because the material conforms very well to the contours of a car. Even bumpers aren't difficult when we use this material. It holds colors perfectly especially when laminated with Avery's 1460Z. The laminate offers an additional layer of protection against color fade and minor stone chips and scratches. For the windows we used a 50/50 perforated window film. This allows enough vinyl to deliver the design but not enough to prevent the driver from seeing out of the windows. This wrap took the better part of two and a half days to complete but it was very much worth the time.
